Are you suggesting I rest the user password again for this user, and is there a different method I need to apply to reset the browser login? use the shortened version I get the login box appear, but the login fails. In image below you can see that port forwarding is configured alright. personally, I would use the FTP client, but as they are our valued client and have requested this, I was hoping to be able to provide it for them.

Are you passing credentials through with IE7 in the URL? However, when I try to use internet explorer to connect I get nothing except "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and my FTP server status page shows nothing at all. Otherwise, to absorb all the traffic to the server for those ports in IIS, you would enter an asterik. Do you have passive FTP enabled?

I have an FTP site that I can access using the Filezilla client but not when accessing in IE or any browser. how can I get this operational, as it is causing problems for our users. Once I place address in the IE line I get the log on screen.
The fix is to either explicitly state the external IP address (e.g., 75.123.01.97) OR the DNS lookup service (e.g., xxxxx.DynDNS.com) in the appropriate fields in the Passive mode settings window. When I try to connect to a website, the following error message is displayed: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
